Google Business Profile & Google Maps
Your Google Business Profile (formerly "Google My Business") is the listing customers see in Google Search and on Google Maps. You can add an appointment link there. Customers then book an appointment with you directly from Google Search – without the detour via your website.
Which link to add
- For consultation or valuation appointments: your advisor's booking link (the resource's standard booking link, see Resource Channels).
- For multiple people or locations: a Booking Channel, where customers select the right resource themselves. You can later change what is bookable through it in timum, without touching the link on Google.
Don't add a link to a single property here – the profile belongs to your business, not to one property.
Setup in Google Search
- Sign in to Google with the account that manages your Business Profile, and search for your company name. Your profile appears above the search results with editing functions.
- Click Booking.
- Click Add link (if links already exist: Add another link).
- Paste your timum booking link.
- Click Save.
In Google Maps, go to Edit profile and use the "Book an appointment" action. You can add several links per action and mark one of them as the preferred link.
What customers see
Google displays a button in your profile such as "Book an appointment" or "Book online" that leads directly to your timum booking page. It may take some time before Google shows the new link in the profile.
Note
Benefits
- More visibility: Customers see the booking option where they are looking for you.
- Fewer calls: Appointment requests land as a booking or request directly in your calendar.
- Mobile: The booking page is built for smartphones – the typical path from Google Maps.
