Resources
Resources in the context of appointments are limited capacities – such as time, staff, rooms, or equipment – that can only be used by one person or group at a specific time.
Since they are not available to everyone simultaneously, appointments must coordinate their use to avoid conflicts.
Examples of Resources
- Properties: Apartments, houses, commercial spaces for viewing
- Agents/Consultants: Individual staff members with appointments
- Offices/Locations: Consultation rooms or branches
- Services: Specific offerings such as valuations or consultations
Accounts, Resources, Provider Calendars, and Users
Hierarchy
An Account can contain multiple Provider Calendars. A Provider Calendar in turn contains multiple Resources, each with their own appointments, blockers, and availabilities. All are displayed together in the Provider Calendar view. Users can be assigned to any Provider Calendar as staff, regardless of which account the calendar belongs to. Users are free of charge in timum. You can therefore give any number of staff members access.
Key Characteristics
- Each resource has its own appointments, blockers, and availabilities
- Resources can offer multiple appointment types
- Each resource automatically receives 5 freely configurable booking channels
- Resources can be assigned to staff members
- Resources can be moved between Provider Calendars
Activating a resource
For customers to be able to book, the resource must be active. Each activation is valid for 30 days (a “ticket”); your plan includes a certain number of tickets that you use as needed. Under Settings → Process Settings you can specify whether new resources are automatically activated and automatically renewed upon expiry. If the activation expires, all data and already booked appointments are retained – new appointments simply can no longer be booked.
Flexible Organisation
You can create any number of Provider Calendars and move resources flexibly between them. This enables various organisational models:
- Team view: All agents of a team in the same Provider Calendar for a shared calendar overview
- Location grouping: All staff of an office together
- Strict separation: Each agent in their own Provider Calendar, sees only their own properties and appointments
- Project-based: Group resources by construction project or campaign
