Appointment Types
An appointment type describes what is booked – for example "Viewing" or "Consultation". It defines a minimum duration, buffer times, and descriptions, and is assigned to the resources that offer it. If a resource offers multiple appointment types, customers first select the appointment type when booking. Appointment types can be temporarily deactivated without deleting them.
Examples of Appointment Types
- Viewing: 30-minute appointment for property viewing
- Consultation: 60-minute appointment for in-depth advice
- Quick appointment: 15-minute appointment for brief coordination
- Valuation: 45-minute appointment for property valuation
Creating an Appointment Type
Open the Appointment Types page in your Provider Calendar and click Add appointment type. You can create a new appointment type or import one from onOffice, Flowfact, or PropStack. On the same page, use the Default checkbox to specify which resource offers the appointment type by default (see Default Appointment Types), and enter a price per resource.
Properties of an Appointment Type
- Name: displayed to the customer in the appointment type selection.
- Description before booking: displayed to customers in the appointment type selection below the name.
- Description after booking: displayed after a direct booking and included in the confirmation and reminder email; for requests, only after your confirmation.
- Minimum duration (optional): Default appointment duration for bookers. Team members can deviate from this for individual appointments. Leave the field empty if you typically offer appointments with varying lengths.
- Buffer time before and Follow-up time: Minutes before and after the appointment that timum keeps free – for example for travel and follow-up.
- Default meeting point (optional): a meeting point only for this appointment type; if not specified, the default of the resource or Provider Calendar applies (see Meeting Point for Appointments).
- Price: per resource on the Appointment Types page.
- Assignment: which resources offer this appointment type.
