Standard Appointment Types

What are Standard Appointment Types?

Standard appointment types are the appointment types that a property offers by default. They determine the selection customers see when booking.

You set them on the Appointment Types page of your Provider Calendar: each property is listed in a row and each appointment type in a column; the Standard checkbox makes the appointment type the default offering of the property.

How does the selection work?

  • One appointment type: is automatically pre-selected – customers do not need to choose
  • Multiple appointment types: Customers select an appointment type before booking

Factors that affect the offering

The appointment types actually offered may differ from the standard:

  • Resource Channel: The channel's Bookable Appointment Types setting is set to "Property Standards" or "Selection". With "Selection" you can offer any appointment types that either further restrict the selection or go beyond the standard (see Resource Channels).
  • Availability: Each availability also has the Bookable Appointment Types field. This allows you to offer only specific appointment types within a time slot (see Availabilities).
  • Bookable Appointments: A predefined appointment has its own appointment type, which does not have to be part of the standard offering (see Creating Bookable Appointments).

Priority

The settings of a channel or availability take precedence over the standard offering of the property.
