Meeting Point for Appointments
What Is the Meeting Point?
The meeting point is the address or location where the appointment takes place. It is communicated to the customer in the confirmation and the reminder. Instead of an address, the meeting point can also be a link (video call) or a phone number.
Where the Meeting Point Comes From
timum uses the first meeting point that is set – from specific to general:
- Appointment: In the Create Appointment(s) dialog, you can give each appointment its own meeting point.
- Availability: The Provided location field applies to all appointments booked in this time range – for example, consultations at the office instead of at the property (see Availabilities).
- Appointment Type: The default meeting point of an appointment type applies everywhere this appointment type is booked (see Appointment Types).
- Resource: Without any other setting, the resource's address applies, for example the property address.
Keep the Resource's Address Up to Date
If an address is missing, the booking confirmation shows "The exact address is yet to be determined". Enter the address in the resource's properties.
Sharing the Address Only Shortly Before the Appointment
Under Settings → Process Settings, use Property Address Information to determine when customers receive the address:
- visible: The address is shown on the booking page and included in the confirmation email.
- hidden: The address is only sent with the automatic reminder email on the evening before the appointment – useful if you only want to share viewing addresses with pre-qualified prospects.
Display for the Customer
The meeting point appears in:
- the confirmation email (if "visible")
- the reminder email
- the calendar invitation (ICS file)
- the SMS "Meeting point (address) changed", if the meeting point is changed afterwards and SMS is enabled
